Vodka, brandy, rum, whiskey, and tequila, they all have one thing in common – they are all spirits born after distillation. Their differences are described in the following aspects.

Definition

1. Vodka: Vodka is a high-concentration distilled liquor that has been processed through grain fermentation, continuous distillation, and charcoal treatment.

2.Brandy:

Distilled liquor is made from fruits or juice (pulp) through fermentation, distillation, aging and blending. Products using grapes or grape juice as raw materials can be referred to as brandy, and products using other fruits as raw materials are named after fruits. Therefore, the brandy commonly referred to refers to the brandy made from grapes.

3.Rum:

Rum is a distilled liquor made from sugar cane, sugar cane molasses, sugar cane syrup or other sugar cane processed products through fermentation, distillation, aging and blending.

4.Whiskey:

Whiskey is any spirit made from cereal products that is distilled and matured in oak barrels. Whiskey ingredients vary and are often related to the region where the whiskey is produced and the crops traditionally grown on the site where the distillery is located. For example: Scotch whiskey is mainly made from barley malt (i.e. malted barley), which has been fermented and distilled several times before being matured in oak barrels. American whiskey is made from corn, wheat, and rye.

5.Agave:

Liquor is a distilled liquor made from agave (agave) through distillation.
